Prevents all your ancestors' memories from smashing together. This... is your way out. Here's the problem, your brain is hash. Too many ghosts in your head, too many voices. So how do you fix that? You claw your way back into the stored data, you find unfinished memories, and you crack them open. Finish what you started, until your ancestors have nothing left to show you. THAT is a synch Nexus. When you find it, the Animus can seperate you from your ancestors and bring you back home. Back to your body.

Masyaf is the home of the Assassin order during the Crusades.

Damascus was the capital and largest ancient city of Syria, believed to have been founded in the third millennium BCE. Damascus was located in the eastern foothills of the Eastern Lebanon Mountain Range, near the delta of the Barada River.

Acre is a coastal city located to the east of the Mediterranean Sea. It's situated in Western Galilee, in the northern area of Israel.

Jerusalem is a city located in the hills of the Judean Mountains, in between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea.

Monteriggioni is a town and commune of Tuscany, Italy. Built in the year 1213 by the overlords of Siena, Monteriggioni was actively involved in the defense of Tuscany against Florentine attempts to gain more territory.

At the front of this conflict was the Auditore family, who later became the town's rulers and protectors. They constructed Monteriggioni's famous walls, and the largest structure within them, the Villa Auditore.

Monteriggioni was also the headquarters of the Italian branch of the Assassin Order from the early 14th century, when Domenico Auditore renovated the villa, to the year 1500, when the town was besieged by Cesare Borgia.

Tuscany (Italian: Toscana) is a region in central Italy. It is known for its beautiful landscapes, its rich artistic legacy and vast influence on high culture. Tuscany is widely regarded as the true birthplace of the Italian Renaissance, and has been home to some of the most influential people in the history of arts and science, such as Dante, Botticelli, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci. The region boasts larger cities, such as Florence, Grosseto and Siena, as well as smaller towns, such as Monteriggioni and San Gimignano.

The Appennine Mountains was a mountain range that stretched from north to south, along Italy's east coast. The mountains linked Florence to both Romagna and Forlì. Several hamlets, farms, and a church could be found in the mountain range.

Forlì is a city located in the region of Romagna and the capital of the province of Forlì-Cesena. During the Renaissance, it was the site of its eponymous battle, the Battle of Forlì.

Venice, or Venezia to its residents, is a city located in northern Italy. During the 15th century, Venice was the capital and largest city of the Most Serene Republic of Venice, and consisted of five districts: San Polo, San Marco, Dorsoduro, Castello, and Cannaregio.

Originally founded by refugees from the Hunnic and Germanic invasion of Padua, Aquileia, and Altino, Venice developed into a major trade and naval power in southern Europe, becoming one of the wealthiest cities in the world, and by the year 1499, it was engaged in sporadic conflict with the Ottoman Empire.

Rome, or Roma to its residents, is the capital city of Italy.

During the Renaissance, Rome was the capital of the Papal States and headquarters of the Italian sect of the Templar Order. Also, as part of Rome's liberation, the city became the base for the Italian branch of the Assassin Order.

Viana is a small town and region located in Navarre, northern Spain. In 1507, Cesare Borgia was killed during the Siege of Viana, and was later buried there.

Derinkuyu was a hidden city in Central Anatolia, Cappadocia. Most of the city's expanse was concealed underground, with only a few skylights to let sunlight through.

After the Byzantine Templars reasserted their presence in the Ottoman Empire in 1509, they took over the city of Derinkuyu. It became their headquarters, and served as the base of operations throughout the Empire.

New York City is the most densely populated city in the United States of America. During the American Revolutionary War, New York was also a stronghold of the British and American armies.

In 1776, the city was greatly damaged due to the Great Fire, which burned most of New York to the ground. Around this time, the Assassin Connor frequently visited New York in order to pursue the Templars. Following this, Connor managed to liberate three Templar forts, one in each of the city's districts, for Continental occupation.

The Frontier was a large tract of countryside located in the American north-east. Many battles of the French and Indian War and the American Revolutionary War took place here.

The Frontier consisted mostly of wilderness containing cliffs, forests, rivers, and mountains inhabited by a variety of animals such as bears, beavers, deer, wolves, rabbits, cougars, and elk.

While Boston and New York City were the primary settlements located near the Frontier, the countryside itself also contained several small Native American and European ones such as the towns of Lexington, Concord, Charlestown, and Connor's own Mohawk village, Kanatahséton. One could also find logging camps, mills, and trading posts.

Located around the world though mainly in the U.S. these dens are well hidden either underground, through buildings or actual buildings themselves with secret rooms.
